When Sonos announced they would stop supporting iOS4 and 5, I decided to put out a simple survey to see if I were the only one putting my old iPads to work as controllers of some sort, Sonos or other.

I think this is a very natural life cycle for tablets, and even smart phones, because of the great apps that are so great that we, the users, find it convenient to dedicate a whole device to that single app. Like I did for my two 1st gen iPads.

But is this the app developers fault? Mainly Apple, actually.
